Getting Started

  • Use Go to Dashboard or Demo Mode from the login screen if you want to inspect the interface before connecting to a server.
  • Use Connect Server to add an SSH host, then choose which connected servers stay visible from the server scope picker in the header.
  • Use Workspace & Help in the top-right menu for account settings, documentation, notifications, and legal pages.

  • The main monitor can compare one or multiple selected servers and overlay telemetry in a single chart.
  • CPU, RAM, Disk, and Network can be enabled together inside the same analytical lane.
  • Favorite Applications pin the most important services from the current server scope for one-click access.
  • Drag dashboard sections to reorder them and use each module’s Live / Off switch to pause updates.

SSH Terminal

  • The SSH Terminal supports live interactive terminal mode, command runner mode, or both on the same page.
  • Use the selector at the top of the page to switch between terminal, command line, and combined layout.
  • If a terminal preflight fails, the diagnostics block explains target, auth mode, and what blocked the session.

  • Use the zoom controls in the header to scale the workspace like a browser zoom level. The selected zoom is stored locally.
  • The sidebar can be collapsed from the left panel while keeping the Nexus logo visible for quick return.
  • Most analytical pages scroll inside the page body so the main navigation stays visible during deeper review.
Privacy

Privacy, Logs & Local Data

  • The product is local-first: no cloud relay, no hosted backend for your credentials, and no vendor telemetry pipeline for your server activity.
  • Internal application logs stay on your Mac, remain visible to you inside the app, and can be exported or cleared whenever you want.
  • Clear All Logs And Data removes local workspace accounts, saved servers, logs, cached UI state, and stored preferences from the device.

Demo Edition

  • The public demo download is a separate lightweight visual-only macOS build for safe evaluation.
  • The full app also includes a demo mode so you can inspect the interface without connecting to a live server.
  • Real server connections, uploads, remote editing, and Pro workflows unlock only after activation.
Operator Notes

Logs are intentionally open and inspectable. If privacy matters to you, this is one of the key design decisions in Nexus: internal logs stay local, can be reviewed directly in the app, can be exported for audit, and can be wiped before handoff.
